Malacca is a powerful technology that promises to make computers and handheld devices simple, multi-lingual and shareable. Here are some cool things you could do with Malacca, after you download it:

1. Render IML v2.0 code

Malacca is based on the Simputer Trust's IML v2.0 specification. Consequently, you can:

• Have the Simputer's Text-to-speech engine "read out" your English sentences
• Have the Simputer "speak out" your Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada sentences
• Display text in Indian languages
• Read and write from the virtual SmartCard
• Use tables (the tag) for complete layout control over text and images
• Use a variety of text-formatting options (bold, bulleted list, underline etc.) to render text beautifully
• Browse through the examples we have created for you
• Create a "slide show" of images
• Create simple user forms
